Mr. Jerry Streat, Human Resources Coordinator with the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Corrections visited LMS and CHS on Tuesday, 9/27. He talked to the students about career opportunities in corrections. He also discussed the importance of having a strong work ethic and developing mandatory employability skills while in school.
Guest speakers in our schools are a huge part of Work Based Learning. Career Awareness is the first step in Career Preparation. We plan to have more guest speakers in the future to talk to our students.
