More pics from the LMS STEM Expo...

Lunenburg Middle School recently held a STEM Expo that showcased individual and group projects by students focused on various STEM topics. STEM Projects help students develop solutions to existing problems and can lead to the creation of better products. Students' creative skills work alongside other skills such as math, engineering, and science to develop new technologies and products, and can also help problem-solving methods. Many innovations in technology arise from creativity.

It's Handwashing Awareness Week! Cleanliness is a major factor in preventing foodborne illness. One of the best ways to prevent the spread of any germs is by washing your hands regularly. With the Flu, RSV, and COVID going around, handwashing is a great preventative measure that can easily be followed. #handwashingawarenessweek

Thank you to the Culpeper Police Department for presenting, "Hidden in Plain Sight," for our LMS and CHS parents and guardians last evening. Attendees were treated to a wonderful meal before the program. Officers recreated the bedroom of a teenager and helped parents to identify signs of risky behavior that may go unnoticed to the untrained eye. Parents and guardians were able to go on stage and examine the room close up. The topics of alcohol, marijuana, prescription drugs, over-the-counter drugs, illicit drugs, vaping, mental disorders, sexual behavior, were covered in the program. Approximately 40 parent and guardians joined us last evening, and we thank them for attending!

Check out our LMS Technological Systems students working on 3D object design and printing, science projects, engineering projects and Lego building projects.
