Next week we will be hosting pick-up times at the VES front doors for any students who need to pick up any belongings. You may pick up belongings on Monday, June 1st from 11:00-1:00pm and 5:00-6:00pm. You may also pick up on Thursday, June 4th from 11:00-1:00pm. VES administrators will be at the doors to hand you a bag of your child’s items as you walk up. If your child has any items to return to VES (such as library books) please bring them at this time. 5th graders who attended their promotion ceremony should have already received their items.

Parents of 5th Grade students:
Today from 5:00-6:00pm you are welcome to drive your 5th grader (ONE car per student) through the VES *BUS* loop for an informal promotion ceremony!
We have a few guidelines for this:
🚨Please follow the signs so you know where to enter/exit.
🚨Please drive up to your child’s homeroom teacher (they will be spread out around our bus loop).
🚨Please stay in your vehicles at all times. Teachers will be handing your child their belongings and certificates to them as you pull up.
🚨We are monitoring the weather. This will be a rain or shine event! If it rains, we will adjust our layout, so please pay attention to the signs as you arrive.
🚨 Please be patient and kind tonight! We know this is not an ideal event but wanted our students to have the opportunity to see our staff. There may be heavy traffic at times, so please be patient as we’ll keep the line moving as best we can!

REMINDER!
VES 5th Graders & Parents:
We will be hosting an informal “drive-thru” promotion ceremony for our 5th grade students on Thursday, May 28, 2020 at the VES bus loop from 5:00-6:00PM.
With no more than ONE CAR PER STUDENT, you may enter the bus loop and pull around to your child’s homeroom teacher (they will be spaced around the loop). Each teacher will hand any belongings of the student and any certificates earned this year to the student as you pull up.
Although this is not the ceremony our students deserve, we wanted to send them off to middle school with a chance to say “good bye”!
Our staff will be practicing social distancing and ask that our guests do the same. You are asked to stay in your car at all times.
Please be respectful and patient, as we do plan for many cars to attend our drive-thru. Please reach out to your child’s teacher with any questions!
