Recently, Mr. Hershberger’s Government students sponsored a Blood Drive at CHS that was available to students and LCPS staff. For the last several weeks, government students marketed and recruited donors for the drive. The goal was 35 units and over 44 units were collected. These donations will help save over 132 lives. Since the goal was met, the Red Cross will donate $250 towards a college scholarship for a senior who was actively involved in coordinating the event.
This is the 2nd blood drive sponsored by government students this school year. Since goals were met both times, a total of $500 will be awarded in a scholarship.
