Work-Based Learning Partnership with Pennington Seed
A Division of Central Garden & Pet
Central High School and Pennington Seed, a division of Central Garden Pet have partnered to offer a Work-Based Learning program for high school seniors.
This program offers a paid internship for 1-2 Central High School Students each year. They are gaining skills, work experience and establishing positive networking relationships to help further their future careers.
Recently, Makayla Reese and Lane Usry who are both seniors at Central High School were offered paid internships! They applied, participated in an online interview, and were offered these positions. They will train and learn various positions within the company.
This internship will allow Makayla and Lane to also earn a high school credit towards graduation because of their current enrollment in a career and technical course at the high school and 280+hours of work.
