๐๐Charger Track Standout Aidan Hadley finishes his high school career as a medalist in both hurdle events at the State Class 2 Track Meet. Hadley placed third in both the 110M High Hurdles (15.67) and the 300M Hurdles (41.27) competing against the top hurdlers in Class 2. Aidan placed 4th in the 300M Hurdles in the Class 1 Meet last year. Two medals in this year's competition versus more competitive hurdlers is quite an accomplishment considering Aidan only began his track career as a junior last year. Aidan plans to continue his educational career at Virginia Tech next Fall.๐๐

School Performance Framework Listening Sessions--
In anticipation of additional action from the State Board of Education at the March Board meeting on the revisions of the Standards of Accreditation, with an intention of creating a school performance framework separate from accreditation, theโฏBoard is tentatively planning listening sessions in April across the Commonwealth to help facilitate public engagement to further the development of a school performance framework through Virginiaโs Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) State Plan.
These listening sessions are intended to inform the Board and facilitate public input focused on the new school performance system. The sessions are being coordinated by the Hunt Institute, an independent, non-profit organization.
PARENTS, EDUCATORS, and INTERESTED CITIZENS are invited to attend and comment on their expectations for the new school performance framework. The listening session for REGION 8 (our region) will held on WEDNESDAY, APRIL 3 at the Robert Russa Moton Museum. It will begin at 6:00 p.m. and end at 7:30 p.m.
