Region 8 Spring Transition Fair!

If you have a child who will be 5 on or before September 30, 2023, make plans NOW to attend Kindergarten Registration on March 3, 2023. If your child is a current LCPS Pre K student at either elementary school, you only have to provide proof of Lunenburg County residency, and our guidance counselors will be in touch over the summer if anything else is needed. Check out the flyer below for more information!

It's almost time for Kindergarten Registration. Check out the information below!

Mr. Stephen Day, Director of Economic Education at Virginia Commonwealth University visited Mr. Buchananâs marketing classes today to present awards to the fall Stock Market game state winners. Mr. Day also spent time showing students how to research stocks. The spring competition kicked off on February 3rd.
Mr. Day talked about entrepreneurship and walked students through a guided activity. He showed them how to register their new business in Virginia. He discussed the importance of young entrepreneurship in local communities. Another awards ceremony will take place later in the spring at the Richmond Federal Reserve Bank.

Congratulations to Todd Williams of Kenbridge who won the 50â smart TV from the George Sunbury Scholarship fundraiser. Thank you to everyone who purchased tickets in support of this worthwhile cause. We are able to continue awarding scholarships to graduating seniors in Mr. Sunburyâs memory this spring.

Huge shout out to our School Board Clerk James Abernathy and our School Board Deputy Clerk Sidney for all that they do! Thank you! We appreciate you!

Be kind today and always! #VAKindnessWeek

In celebrating National School Counselors Week, LCPS would like to show it's appreciation for our AWESOME school counselors at all of our schools.
Thank you, Janet Johnson, Tiffany Griffin, Geneva Hines, Jennifer Tackett, Stephanie Hankley, LaTonya Stith, and Stephanie Powers!
School counselors actively engage in helping students examine their abilities, strengths, interests and talents. They work in partnership with parents as they encounter the challenges of raising children in todayâs world. They focus on positive ways to enhance studentsâ academic, career and social/emotional development. And they work with teachers and other educators to provide an educational system where students can realize their potential and set healthy, realistic, and optimistic aspirations for themselves.

Over the last two weeks, two members of our CHS Web Design Class have been creating a Website for Community Resource Services, a non-profit organization that provides a food pantry and other resources to Lunenburg County.
Credit to Makala M. and Justin B. for donating their time and effort and creating this outstanding final product.
