Congratulations to our CHS March Co-op Students of the Month! R. Bruce, G. Gill, and K. Coles. All three students earned their CNA licenses through SVCC last year. Currently, they work at the Chase City Health and Rehab. They are receiving hands on experience in their jobs. Bruce & Gill plan to pursue their Registered Nursing degrees from SVCC in the fall. Coles plans to attend either Virginia State or ODU in the fall and pursue a degree in nursing with a minor in Sports Management.

If your child will be 4 years old on or before September 30, 2019--it's time to get your application in for the LCPS Pre K Program. Deadline for applications to be received is next Friday, March 15, 2019 in order to be assigned an appointment time for the Pre K Screening Day on April 8, 2019. You can pick up a hard copy of the application at the school board office, Kenbridge Elementary, and Victoria Elementary. You can also find a copy of the application on our website.

In honor of March Madness, LCPS has created a fun-filled attendance challenge among the schools. Each week classrooms will face off in teams against each other. At the end of the week the classrooms daily attendance average will be calculated together and whichever team has the highest percentage of attendance will win! Congratulations to the 11th Grade for winning the semester long grade level attendance challenge at CHS! They had the least amount of absences last semester of any grade level in the school. Today they were treated to music, Buffalo Wild Wings, and a opportunity to take photos in the photo booth. Thank you Mrs. Coronas and Dr. Stanislas for helping out! #LCPSAttendanceChallenge
