đđOctober 23-27, 2023 is Virginia College Application Week đđ
All Seniors will be encouraged to apply for admission to at least one college or university if they have not already done so. This event is possible due to the collaboration efforts of the administration, faculty, and staff at Central High School, as well as students, their families, and volunteers across the community.
The program aims to increase the number of eligible Virginia high school students applying to colleges early in their senior year. Information about completing the Free Application for Federal Aide (FAFSA) will also be made available during the event. There is a Student Profile that we encourage students to complete prior to the event that is available on www.LevelUpVirginia.org or in the school counseling office. Having this profile completed and available during Virginia College Application Week will allow students to quickly and easily complete college applications.
We anticipate the student and their families will need to work together in gathering information listed on the student profile. Families are welcome to set an appointment time to visit Central High School on October 23 through 27 to assist their students during the application process.
If you have any questions please call LaTonya Stith, School Counselor, at 434-696-2137 or email latonya.stith@k12lcps.org. Thank you in advance for supporting this exciting initiative to encourage all Virginia students to make college a part of their future.
