MARK YOUR CALENDARS...Lunenburg Preschool Recruitment Day (with Health & Wellness Resources available) is Friday, March 24 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at both Kenbridge and Victoria Elementary Schools. This is a FLOATING event so you can come ANYTIME between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Children who will turn 4 on or before September 30, 2023, are the right age for the LCPS Preschool Program and Head Start. Region 8 Spring Transition Fair!
The Teachers for Tomorrow students have been completing their weekly fieldwork at KES and VES. Each high school student is assigned to a teacher who mentors them throughout the semester. Their fieldwork began in January and will end at the end of April.
After this semester, our students are eligible to take Teachers for Tomorrow II which is through SVCC. They will receive dual enrollment and high school credit and will continue to complete work at the elementary schools.

LCPS will operate on a two hour delay today, Tuesday, February 28, 2023, due to dense fog. 12 month employees report two hours late as well.
In honor of Black History Month, the Central High School jazz band was invited to play for the residents in The Hundley Center and patients, visitors, and caregivers at VCU Health Community Memorial Hospital. Our students did a great job!

Just a reminder that tomorrow, Friday, February 17, 2023, is an early dismissal day for all schools. Central High School and Lunenburg Middle School will dismiss at 12 noon. Kenbridge and Victoria Elementary Schools will dismiss at 12:30 p.m. Also, LCPS will be closed on Monday, February 20, 2023, in observance of Presidents' Day. Thank you.
