We are happy to announce that the hours have been extended for the CHS Internet Cafe. Every Thursday, the CHS Internet Cafe will remain open until 7:00 p.m. Students must have their own transportation home at 7:00 p.m. The CHS Internet Cafe will now operate on Fridays as well. On Fridays, students will have to provide their own transportation to and from the Internet Cafe. Please call Central High School at 434-696-2137 if you are interested in making an appointment. LCPS is happy to announce that our Internet Cafes at LMS and CHS will be operating 4 days a week starting next Monday, January 25.
Students who live in Rehoboth, Keysville, Meherrin, Greenbay, Lunenburg Court House, the Town of Victoria, and surrounding areas will be able to attend on Mondays and Wednesdays.
Students who live in the Town of Kenbridge, Dundas, South Hill area, Craig Mill Rd., Bagleys Mill Rd., Jonesboro Rd., and surrounding areas will be able to attend on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Students wishing to attend the Internet Cafe MUST call their school and make an appointment. This allows us to make sure that we can socially distance on the school buses and at the Internet Cafe. Thank you for helping to keep our students safe and healthy.
LCPS Families and Staff--Just a reminder that LCPS will be closed Monday, January 18 in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Also, please be aware that LCPS will remain ALL VIRTUAL until further notice. Meal delivery and pick up, the Internet Cafe at LMS and CHS, and making appointments for students, will all remain the same as they have been in our existing virtual learning environment. Good evening LCPS Families. Lunenburg County Public Schools has decided to postpone hybrid instruction until the number of COVID 19 cases in our community has significantly improved. At this time, positive cases of COVID 19 continue to prohibit staffing that will support in person learning in our schools. Virginia High School League activities and competitions will be postponed until hybrid instruction resumes. Students are encouraged to fully participate in all course activities. Meal pick up and delivery, student appointments, and Internet Cafe will all continue as they have been in our existing virtual learning environment. Attention CHS Seniors - Senior portrait retakes are scheduled for the morning of October 26. There is a sitting fee of $30. This includes casual pictures. Students must prepay and have a scheduled appointment. Check your student email for information that will be coming soon on how to pay your sitting fee and make your appointment.
