Lunenburg County Public Schools will be closed for the next two weeks. All 12 month employees are to report Monday, March 16, 2020 on time.
TODAY is the deadline to get your LCPS Pre-K Application in for the screening day on April 10, 2020. If your child will be four on or before September 30, 2020, please apply! On the KES & VES page of our website, there is a Pre K Application button for your convenience!
Lunenburg County Public Schools will be closed to students, Friday, March 13, 2020. The Governor’s School of Southside Virginia will operate as usual. All staff will report to duty on time and receive detailed instructions from their building administration for the day. This day will be used as a teacher workday for staff members to proactively prepare instructional materials in the event that schools are closed for an extended period of time.

Model General Assembly, originally scheduled for April 2-4, 2020, has been postponed. There is a possibility that it will be rescheduled for June 2020. Please see the following letter from the Executive Director of the YMCA for more information. https://5il.co/dmgp
The CHS FBLA field trip to the Richmond Federal Reserve Bank scheduled for March 19, 2020 has been canceled as a precaution. We will attempt to reschedule the trip at a later date.
LMS Food Lion Math Night originally scheduled for Wednesday, March 18 will be postponed with a new date to be announced later.
CHS Cares/Kindness Matters is collecting items and carrying the donations to Nashville, TN for the victims of the tornadoes. Donations should be taken to CHS by the end of the school day tomorrow, March 13, 2020. Thank you for supporting this worthy cause!

Kindergarten and Pre K Students will NOT attend school on Friday, March 6. This is the day of the Kindergarten Registration Program. Pre K Students are encouraged to come to the program that day to register for Kindergarten at the elementary school they will attend next year.
Reminder that the LCPS Kindergarten Registration Program is this Friday, March 6 from 9-11 AM at Victoria and Kenbridge Elementary Schools! Take your child, who will be 5 on or before September 30, 2020, to the school which they will attend in the fall.
Thank you to all who donated baked goods for the CHS After Prom Bake Sale! It was a HUGE success with $646.50 collected for CHS After Prom through purchases of baked items and raffle tickets. The CHS After Prom Committee is very appreciative of all the community support of the After Prom through the monetary donations from businesses and individuals.

April 6, August 3, and October 5 are the new meeting dates with locations and times remaining the same.
